PRODUCT COOPERATION BY BOGLIOLI AND KOLOR IN SUPPORT OF EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN JAPAN
On March 11th 2011, one of the most powerful earthquakes ever hit Japan. The world was shocked and so was BOGLIOLI. BOGLIOLI immediately looked at ways they could support the people of Japan. The solution came in the form of a special collaboration project with kolor, a Japanese brand whose style BOGLIOLI has long admired.
BOGLIOLI’s roots lie in fine Italian tailoring, innovative fabrics research and garment treatments. Particularly respected for their unique dying techniques, the garment-dyed K jacket is one of the most distinctive and recognizable BOGLIOLI pieces, highly sought after & sold in the world’s finest retailers.
kolor, known for its conceptual & deconstructed designs, is made with the highest quality materials and designed for a sophisticated, fashion-forward consumer.
The result of this creative partnership is a two-piece capsule collection of garment dyed jackets available in cashmere and high performance cotton. The fabrics and garment-dyed technique are provided by BOGLIOLI, while the designs are kolor originals. The jackets strike a perfect balance between classic design and futuristic research.
All proceeds from the sale of these two jackets will be donated to Save the Children Japan, benefiting children suffering from the 2011 earthquake of the Pacific coast of Tohoku. BOGLIOLI and kolor pray for a prompt recovery of the disaster area.
